I’ve always believed that movement should feel purposeful, empowering, and aligned—not just in form, but in intention. It’s one of the core principles of The Dailey Method, and it’s at the heart of everything we do. Over the years, I’ve had the incredible honor of witnessing the transformation of thousands of students through the power of precise movement, mindful engagement, and community. And recently, I felt a new kind of spark. A challenge I couldn’t ignore.
That spark became my newest program- Dailey Barre + Strength.
Listening to What Our Bodies Need
I’ve heard it from students. I’ve felt it myself. There’s a growing desire to lift heavier weights—to build strength in a more direct way, especially as we age and face real changes in our bodies. I’m post-menopausal, I can’t take hormones due to a personal health history, and I have a naturally small frame. I knew I needed something more. Something to help support my bone health, preserve muscle mass, and maintain the vitality I want to carry with me for decades to come.
But I didn’t want to sacrifice form for function. That’s where the fitness world has left a gap: Too many people are lifting heavy weights too fast, without proper guidance or alignment. I see it often in classes. And it concerns me.
The Missing Link in Strength Training
That concern became a calling. I already had a small group studio class called Dailey Define where we slow things down, use heavier weights, and teach people how to lift properly. But I knew there was room to go further—to create something that combines the core alignment of barre, the power of interval work, and the benefit of heavier weight and strength training, all in one accessible format.
That’s what Dailey Barre + Strength does. It bridges the gap.
It gives you the joy and flow of barre, the metabolic boost of interval work,, and the bone-supportive strength of heavier resistance—without compromising safety, alignment, or accessibility.
Designed for Every Body
What excites me most about this program is how adaptable it is. Whether you’re 25 or 85 (and yes, we’ve had both in class!), you can personalize every movement. Use lighter weights. Modify your intervals. Listen to your body and make it your own.
And if you love barre? You’re still getting it—just with a deeper focus on your larger muscle groups and functional strength that translates into your everyday movements in life.
Movement That Moves With You
I designed this program to be sustainable. Four unique classes that you can cycle through twice a week for six weeks. That’s it. Then you can repeat, remix, and return to your favorites as often as you’d like.
Because strength isn’t just about muscle—it’s about consistency, curiosity, and showing up for yourself again and again.
What I Hope You Feel
I created Dailey Barre & Strength because it’s what I needed. And I have a feeling many of you need it too. I want you to feel stronger, more confident, and joyful in your body. I want you to see results not just in the studio, but in how you move through life—carrying groceries, picking up your kids, standing tall with energy and ease.
If you’re on the fence, I get it. Trying something new can be intimidating. But this program was built for you—whether you’re brand new to strength training or you’ve been lifting for years. Start where you are. Stay in alignment. And know that every class was designed with intention, safety, and empowerment at the center.
Let’s move together, with strength and joy.
With love,
Jill
