Become licensed to teach The Dailey Method classes.
The Dailey Method offers a licensing program that enables people to become highly trained Dailey Method teachers. It includes continuing education requirements to maintain the license annually. As a licensee, you can teach Dailey Method classes in your community.
Individual License
This license will cover an individual (one person) for a year to teach The Dailey Method classes in any location, as long as it is not part of a Franchisee’s Protected Area. In order to become a licensee, the individual will have to participate and pass Foundations of Barre and the Level 1 training.
- Foundations of Barre = $399
- Level 1 Training = $1200
- Teacher Collective Membership = $69/month
Once an Individual Licensee is certified, they need to maintain their certification by participating in 4 Dailey Method workshops for continuing education every year. Through Dailey Core, our learning management system, there will be multiple options to fulfill this requirement. Membership fees paid monthly during the one year term, no additional annual fees to renew.
Studio License
This license will cover a studio owner, as well as 2 additional instructors (3 people total). A Studio Licensee is only able to teach Dailey Method classes at that licensed studio location (or under that studio name). A Studio License Holder (studio owner) will have the same rights as an Individual Licensee and can teach Dailey Method classes in any location, as long as it is not part of a Franchisee’s Protected Area. All licensees will have to follow The Dailey Method Teacher Collective training process that includes: Foundations of Barre and Level 1 Training. The cost of a studio license is as follows:
- Foundations of Barre = $200 **reduced cost for Studio licensees (per person)
- Level 1 Training = $600 **reduced cost for Studio licensees (per person)
- Monthly Teacher Collective Membership = $299/month (studio fee)
- Cost for additional licensees/instructors (beyond the 3) = $49/per person/month capped at $500/month.
All Studio Licensees will be required to maintain their certification by participating in 4 Dailey Method workshops for continuing education every year. TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE TRAINING PROGRAM...
A fully digital and interactive training program is available that allows for the coveted Dailey Method training without the constraints of a brick and mortar studio. A trainee would first participate in the The Foundations of Barre program which gives a comprehensive and foundational overview of all things barre. It is great for an aspiring instructor or anyone looking to expand their knowledge of alignment and/or hone their personal barre practice.
Foundations of Barre
- ACE accredited for 0.8 CECs
- NASM accredited for 0.4 CEUs
After completing the foundational barre training, a trainee would move on to Level 1 training which is the proprietary Dailey Method teacher training. A thorough breakdown on The Dailey Method barre classes from warm-up to final stretch, along with modifications and anatomy. It also includes all of the supplemental proprietary workshops given to help you perfect your teaching from cue format, creating dynamics, transitions and many more. Along the way you will submit videos so a mentor can track your progress and give you ongoing feedback to support your growth as a teacher. Upon completion of these two programs, the trainee becomes licensed to teach Dailey Barre, Dailey Express, and Dailey Basics.
